Mr. Rose created and leads the Start School Later, Rockland County chapter in which he advocates for Rockland County’s high schools to start later in the morning so our teenagers can get sufficient sleep to be healthy, excel in school, and fully enjoy their life. Mr. Rose formerly lead the Weston A. Price Foundation Rockland County Chapter, which is dedicated to promoting nutrient-dense foods through education, research and activism. He is a supporter the New York Coalition for Healthy School Food and the Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood. He is a member of the Rockland County School Health and Wellness Coalition. The New York Public Interest Research Group (NYPIRG) presented Rockland hypnotist, Jeffrey Rose with an award for his dedicated service in the public interest.
On the personal side, he practices what he preaches and preaches what he practices. Jeffrey has a healthy natural lifestyle consistent with his healthy values. He always meditates in the morning, exercises everyday, spends as much time as possible in nature and practices optimal sleep hygiene and will never use an alarm clock to awaken. He is also a passionate environmentalist. His passions are ocean swimming, cycling, scuba diving, tennis and hiking in Harriman State Park, Bear Mountain and Hook Mountain. His eats a purely paleolithic diet consisting of plenty of organic vegetables and fruits, seeds and nuts, wild game, organic pastured meats and wild caught sustainable fish. He has not consumed any processed sugar since he was 16 years old and never will. He supplements his highly nutritious diet with Mountain Valley Spring water and Cerebrafil Omega-3s. Jeffrey devotes lots of time preparing his favorite foods, relaxing, and listening to health promoting podcasts, Ted Talks, and traveling the world with his wife and two young girls. He divides his time between Rockland County and Manhattan.
